Website Design Elements to Enhance Brand Credibility

Website Design Elements to Enhance Brand Credibility
jaz

t is a fact that users, while they are surfing a website for the very first time, like their online experience. If this does not happen, they are not likely to come back to the site to pick up items or for further research. Thus, it is imperative that the website design of a company is very appealing and engaging and makes the surfers remember their time on the site with positivity. For ensuring a good connect with users, try to keep the following tips in mind:
1). The visual element, of how all the website data is presented to the surfer, is very important. Hence, take care that the font size is not too small while you present your points to the users. This parameter becomes all the more important when you are doing your search on small devices such as the iPhone where you need bigger sized characters to be able to read properly. Also, ensure that there are about 13 words per line, no more or less.
2). Avoid having too much reading material which runs into several pages in your descriptions. Intersperse it with interesting visuals to give a break to the written word. Also, the words you use should be crisp, to-the-point and clearly defining what it is that you wish to say. Do not use jumbled jargon which will confuse the surfer. In addition, sentences should not be long winded or very lengthy or the reader will find it difficult to understand it.
3). Try to incorporate a call-to-action which takes the reader onto another section of the page. This will give a momentary break to the surfer and will also keep their interest alive. Give the user an option to get more details by having a ‘read more’ type of message. Then the choice is left to the surfer if he or she would like more material on the subject or not.
4). With social media playing such a major role in all advertising, it is very essential to place your social media signals properly and align them in the correct place. This should ideally be at the beginning of your description, or at its fag end. It should be highlighted properly so that one is sure that the customers can have a good look at it and can share the material with their online friends and acquaintances. Also, make an effort to get a larger number of potential customers leave their e-mail addresses for your contact with them later on.
5). Try to have some interesting diversions in your website. Make it more user-friendly by having some pop-ups with newsworthy tidbits about the products or services which you are giving out information on. The user should be given an option about whether he or she would like to explore the extra information or not. It should not be thrust on them as material which they perforce have to go through or else they may just log out of the website and not come back to it even later.

How To Train Your Mind To Be Positive (using the 4 P's)

Tufted vetch.

In today's training video I'm going to show you how to train your mind to be positive!
The quality of your personal or professional life is largely determined by the quality
of the emotional states you live in day to day -- states like love, anger, happiness,
hopeless, fear and confidence.
There are a few things that affect the quality of your life quicker than developing a positive attitude and training your mind to be positive.
The challenge is "positive attitude" seems a bit soft, wooly, fluffy and easy to dismiss.
In the real world (especially the corporate world) "attitude" rarely carries the same weight as words like "skill" and "knowledge" and "work ethic."
Researchers (people much cleverer than me!) are proving otherwise. Learning how your mind works and how to incorporate positive thoughts and emotions can help improve many areas, including health, work, family and social relationships.
If emotions you are experiencing in any area of your life are make you miserable,
you can get in control of them. Your thinking causes you to feel certain emotions,
and your thinking is something you can control.
What you can't control are the setbacks and knock-backs life brings.
Controlling your emotions simply means that you will be able to deal with them better
because your emotions will not make the matters worse.
Being able to train your mind to be positive means that you are in control.
You are in control of how effectively you function and more importantly,
how you feel, regardless of the events around you.
Operating at your ultimate mindset will having you taking your life to the next level.
Your creative ideas will multiply.
Your abilities to achieve will multiply. Your communication with the world will multiply.
Your relationships will multiply. Everything you do, you will do that much better.
Dedicate training your mind to be positive by the day using the 4 P's (explained in the video).
It will drive you like nothing else can. Knowing that you can elevate your emotional state
at anytime is a powerful feeling. It will empower you like nothing else can.
Plus (and it's a big plus) focused positive thinking, over time, will influence your subconscious
so accessing a positive state becomes automatic.

What could be better than that!!!
Enjoy today's training.

The 7 Key Mindset Changes for Shifting from Passive Idleness to Active Readiness

Stopping power.

The 7 Key Mindset Changes for Shifting from Passive Idleness to Active Readiness
Eric Ravenscraft

Everyone’s heard the old adage, practice makes perfect. Practice isn’t just for building skills, though. It’s also for maintaining the ones you’ve already built.
As advice site The Art of Manliness explains, the skills you have already built can fade over time. Through disuse and neglect, your brain can start to forget even the most well-practiced skills
if you go a long period of time without using them. It doesn’t happen overnight,
but practicing a little bit every once in a while can stave off the erosion of useful skills:
We often feel like we can leave parts of ourselves dormant, and they’ll just stay as they are — waiting for us to start developing them again. But the truth is that all the components
of our physical and mental make-up operate by the “use it or lose it” principle.
All of life involves swimming against the current of deterioration —
if you’re not constantly putting in the effort to advance, you’re getting swept back.
Of course, we can only choose so many skills to practice, so it may be a valid choice
to let a particular skill die off. As much as I enjoyed the game as a kid, my skills playing
Jet Force Gemini are not very practical to my adult life.
However, if you want to keep your ability to play that instrument, do that workout,
or speak that language, you should probably keep practicing even when you don’t need to.

To Get Inspired, Sometimes You Need to Give Up

Worn wood.

To Get Inspired, Sometimes You Need to Give Up
Eric Ravenscraft

You’ve been staring at a blank page for hours. No matter how hard you think,
you just can’t make the brilliant ideas appear. It’s time to give up, and that’s okay.
As business site Entrepreneur explains, inspiration doesn’t work on a schedule
(and there’s plenty of science to back that idea up). Your brain can’t be forced to come up
with a stellar idea. Trying to coerce your mind into trying, however, can hold you back.
If you want to encourage the good ideas, get comfortable with giving up:
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve stared at a blank screen, a white sheet of paper
or a media board and racked my brain for a big idea that just wouldn’t come.
Finally, I give up, plop down in a chair and say, “Screw it, I’m done.’’ It takes a while for my mind
to shut off, but when it does, that’s inevitably when the answer comes.
Any good creative knows that ideas can come at the least opportune times.
The trick is getting into the habit of allowing them to happen naturally.
Sometimes that means you just stop working for the day, give up on being “productive”
and let your mind wander. Adhering to a rigid set of rules doesn’t always guarantee brilliance.
Let yourself have space to give up for a while and you may find your ideas come more naturally
in a relaxed state. Don’t forget to have a way to write them down when they happen, too.

8 Tips for Finding Focus and Nixing Distractions

Welsh poppies are either yellow or orange.

8 Tips for Finding Focus and Nixing Distractions
Matthew Toren

Do you find yourself getting to the end of the day and wondering where the time went?
Maybe you started out prepared to accomplish some very specific tasks,
but somehow you just didn't get to them. Putting out fires and dealing with lesser issues
can pull people away from longer-term goals.
But if that happens every day, chances are you won't be in business much longer.
Here are eight ways to prevent letting distractions damage your productivity:

1. Make and post a list:
There's no point in making a list if it ends up under all of your unopened mail at the end of the day. Post it right where you will see it every time you look up, answer the phone or turn
to your computer. By keeping it within your field of sight you can also keep it top-of-mind.

2. Shut your door:
I know this seems like the opposite of good management practice.
Aren't you supposed to be available to employees when they have a problem?
Well, if you aren't focusing on your business they will definitely have a problem –
- finding another job. Right now as an entrepreneur it's company first, employees second.
And maybe if they can't reach you they will take some initiative and solve their own problems.

3. Stand up when someone comes into your office:
This means that your visitor can't sit down and most people will get tired of standing
and leave when their business with you is done. If someone is particularly long-winded despite standing, come around your desk and walk them out the door and down the hall.
Then excuse yourself and head back to your office.

4. Limit outside attention grabbers:
How often do you check email, Facebook, your cellphone? Do you take your own calls
or leave that to a front-office person? Can potential suppliers get instant access to you
when they walk in your office door? Every one of these is pulling you away from
your main business. Schedule specific times to address these outside issues
so that you have uninterrupted time to do your real job.

5. Get to the bottom of procrastination:
Putting something critical off may be a matter of emotion rather than distractions.
Are you afraid that you don't have the skills to accomplish something important to your business? Do you feel that you don't have enough information to do a good job?
Are you nervous about the next step after your current project?
Really spend time with a pencil and paper looking at the reasons why
you aren't tackling something and then figure out how to fix them.

6. Take small bites:
This is anti-procrastination advice but it's true whenever you have a hectic work day
and don't seem to get to those large projects. If you get started, you can accomplish more
than you think with an extra 15-20 minutes every now and then throughout the day.
Don't wait for large blocks of time to get started or you may never get to it.

7. Clear your desk:
If you're ready to dive into a large project, clear your work area of other smaller duties.
It's so easy to catch sight of something that will only take a couple of minutes
and stop working on the big stuff to address the little things.
Don't let visual distractions cost you important focused time.

8. Just do it:
Close your door, turn off your phone, clear your desk and get started.
Put a sign outside your office door with something like, "If it's not bleeding, burning or quitting,
tell me tomorrow." If you remove all excuses and distractions, you may actually accomplish
some of your main business goals even sooner than you expect.
